Agents who operate ethically now find themselves addressing concerns about how the ruling might impact their transactions. Additionally, factors like a low housing inventory and potential team problems in an increasingly competitive environment might be prompting agents to consider a change.

Rather than expecting perfect deliverables from your current brokerage, consider maximizing your potential. Evaluate if you could improve your brand, online presence, or value proposition. Reflect on the solid and supportive relationships you’ve built with colleagues before making a decision. Staying put can be challenging, especially in the dynamic real estate industry.

Remind yourself of the fundamental reason you entered this business – to provide a crucial service. You’re not just dealing in property; you’re helping people find homes, ensuring their family enjoys a long-term secure lifestyle. Building a professional reputation, creating a strong brand, and earning the trust of clients take time.

Every brokerage faces challenges, and leaving prematurely may mean you miss out on benefits when business improves. However, if you’re sure that your current brokerage is no longer a fit due to non-negotiable issues such as consistent unprofessional or unethical behavior, carelessness, or a lack of promised support or services, then it is time to go.
